Efficient Alfa Laval PUMA mud coolers reduce potential health, safety and environmental risk factors and complications during the drilling process.

Built on decades of application experience, these dedicated modular heat exchangers reduce thermal stresses and provide better temperature control for mud processing and downhole tool accuracy, especially when drilling at high temperatures and pressures.

Prior to mobilisation, all of our coolers are pressure tested and have their lifting and gauge certificates renewed.

Centrifuge Trial/ Rental

The below Alfa Laval MMPX403 recently returned from a trial with an existing DHMO client, having proved the feasibility of purifying our client's industrial waste oil via centrifugation.

At 1,000LPH, the unit was able to reduce water content from 500ppm to <100ppm and remove solids above 10μ, exceeding the client's requirements.

With a built-in feed pump, sludge pump, heater and controls, the system is entirely plug and play and is generally up and running within 2 hours of delivery.

Through its uniquely packaged combination of shakers, hydrocyclones and centrifuges, GN's mobile degritting system can separate everything from grit and rag to fines as small as 2 microns with no chemical addition.

Vertical Cuttings Dryers

GN offers vertical cuttings dryers (VCD) for the effective drying of drill cuttings, recovery of drilling fluid and reduction of waste for disposal.

In the case of OBM drill cuttings, OOC (oil-on-cuttings) can be consistently reduced to below 5% and for WBM, volumes can be reduced for easy transportation and disposal.

The VCD uses a stainless steel screen bowl which traps “wet” solids and accelerates them up to 900RPM (420G) or 1200RPM (750G).

Liquid is forced through the screen bowl openings, while “dry” solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the cone, which rotate slightly slower than the bowl.

Tungsten carbide protects the flights from abrasive solids and ensures long operational life.

Throughputs of 30-50Ton/Hr can be achieved and ATEX Zone 1 and 2 configurations are available.
